KARYON

The Department organized the technical festival KARYON during February, 2009. Events like CODON, Bionica, Impromptu, Whodunnit, Candere, Dow (n) Jones, Adrenaline, Synapse and Quill skill were organized during the festival where teams form different Institutes and Universities participated

• Last year the Department organized a corporate meet on Knowledge Park and a National Seminar on Biotechnology and Bioengineering in which distinguished speakers from IIT, AIIMS, IGIB, JNU and renowned companies like Monsanto and Biocon delivered plenary lectures.
• A three day Training Program cum Workshop on “Study of the growth of a Recombinant bacterial clone using an aerobic Bioreactor: Understanding the operations and the safe handling of a bioreactor in a biotechnology perspective” was organized from 16th April,2009 to 18th April,2009. Also a lecture by Dr. M Cremo on “Human Devolution: A Vedic Alternative to Darwin’s Theory” was organized by the Department.
